Victoria Jno-Baptist, Program Director

Tell us about you: I am Victoria Jno Baptiste - Program Director with Harriman Programs. I have been with the company up to 5 years now, and each day I greet them with dedication and fun. What's your favorite part of your job? Creating structure and creating a safe space for our After School participants bring me joy. Having a consistent space for our participants is important to me.
What's your favorite program/activity that Harriman offers? My favorite activity is Roller Skating at our 183 site. It's a fun and unique workshop for us to offer. Participants love the access they have to be able to learn this fun skill.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself: I am a child at heart, very sociable, I love chocolate and I can double dutch!
What does the financial education program at Harriman mean to you? The Financial Education Program is important to us because of the lack of Financial Literacy our participants do not receive in life. It is important for our participants to learn this to ensure success in life.
What's your favorite part of seeing students in the financial education program?
My favorite part is seeing their surprise and wonder when they break down finances and expenses. When they realize the amount of cost of things and how they need to budget is always an eye opening moment. Most importantly, when they receive their bucks for replacing negative languages.
