Jelissa Williams, Program Director

Tell us about you: I am a Far Rockaway native and have been working with the Harriman Organization for 6 years, first starting off as a Dance Specialist. My goal is to guide the youth through arts, sports & academics to manifest their greatest capabilities.

In addition, to running an after-school program, I also have a passion for Dance. Outside of work, I devote my time in dance classes to keep up with my training. I hold an AS/BA in Dance. I went to Queensborough Community College & then transitioned to Hunter College. I am currently in process of going back to school for my MA in Teaching.

What’s your favorite thing about the job? Being able to build bonds with my students

What's your favorite program/activity that Harriman offers? Alpha Eagle STEP class

Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I know how to play softball and I know how to swim.

What’s your favorite part about the Harriman student economy? Watching kids decide between spending their Harriman Bucks or saving up for headphones.
